Whispa Privacy Policy

1. What Whispa Is

Whispa is a campus-based anonymous app for confessions, comments, reactions, rooms, events, announcements, marketplace posts, and Hub Credits.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect app information such as your anonymous Whispa ID, selected campus, ghost name, device identifier, app activity, posts, comments, replies, reactions, reports, saved settings, Hub Credit balance, and notification token.

If you use Campus Hub, we may collect event, announcement, marketplace, image, contact, payment reference, credit purchase, submission, approval, decline, and refund information.

3. Anonymous Use

Whispa is designed to let users post anonymously. We do not ask users to create a public profile with their real name. However, posts, reports, payment records, device identifiers, notification tokens, and moderation data may still be linked to an anonymous app ID so we can operate the app safely.

4. Payments

Payments may be processed by Apple, Google Play, Flutterwave, or another payment provider. We do not store your full card details. Payment providers may collect and process payment data under their own privacy policies.

5. Notifications

Whispa may use Firebase Cloud Messaging and device notification services to send alerts about comments, reactions, new campus posts, Campus Hub updates, and other app activity. You can control notification permissions from your device settings.

6. Moderation And Safety

We may review, hide, delete, or restrict content that violates our rules. Reports, blocked words, moderation actions, and admin decisions may be stored to help protect users and campuses.

7. Images And Uploads

If you upload optional images for Campus Hub or rooms, those images may be stored and displayed in the app. Do not upload private, illegal, or harmful content.

8. Services We Use

Whispa may use Firebase, Google Play, Apple services, Flutterwave, hosting providers, analytics, crash reporting, storage, and notification services to run the app and website.

9. Children

Whispa is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate Whispa, provide safety and moderation, process payments, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service.

11. Your Choices

You can stop using Whispa, turn off notifications, avoid uploading images, and request deletion of your app data. Some information may be kept where needed for safety, fraud prevention, payment records, or legal reasons.
